WINDHOEK: The Namibia SME Expo 2012 has kicked off at Nampower Convention Center in the capital on Wednesday.
The Expo attracted about 85 corporate and small and medium enterprises (SME) to showcase their product and services.
In the interview with Nampa in the sideline of the Expo here, Director of SME compete Claudine Mouton said the exhibitors are from all over the country in the field of manufacturing, art and craft, cleaning materials, tourism and computer services.
“The objective of the Expo is to create business linkage between small enterprises and corporate entities, government ministries and municipalities,” she said.
Mouton said the three -days exhibition will will be spiced with business service seminars which scheduled to take place on Thursday.
The Seminar will be conducted by various organization such as Telecom Namibia, Bank Windhoek, Financial Literacy Initiative, Namibia Business Innovation Centre (NBIC), Namibia Employers Federation and many others.
The expo organised by the SME Compete, a consultancy firm that helps Namibian SMEs to grow business, create wealth and generate employment.
The Expo ends on Friday.
