NNA – Hezbollah’s head of international relations, Amar Moussawi, met on Wednesday with Middle East and North Africa Department official in the French Foreign Ministry, Jean-Francois Girault, with discussions focusing on Lebanese presidential elections.
Girault was accompanied by French ambassador to Lebanon, Patrice Paoli.
The French official disclosed to Moussawi steps taken to move the presidential elections forward through his visits to regional capitals and talks with Lebanese officials and political leaders.
Separately, Moussawi visited ambassador of Spain, Milagros Hernando, offering her his condolences for the fallen UNIFIL soldier, Corporal Francisco Javier Soria Toledo, who died last week in south Lebanon during an Israeli raid in retaliation to Hezbollah’s attack on an Israeli army convoy in Shebaa Farms.
“Israel is held completely responsible for the escalation witnessed in the region over the past few weeks,” said the Hezbollah official.
