Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis’ meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, B. Aurescu, and with State Secretary for Inter-Institutional Affairs, D. Grigore Gitman (Bucharest, 23.02.2022)

Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, who accompanies Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in his official visit to Romania, met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, B. Aurescu and held talks with State Secretary for Inter-Institutional Affairs, D. Grigore Gitman.

Talks focused on issues of European interest, including EU enlargement in the Western Balkans, the crisis in Ukraine, the migration issue and the Schengen Area reform. The Alternate Minister also briefed his interlocutors on the situation in Greek-Turkish relations and the Turkish unlawful and provocative conduct.
