Air ambulance called to 'serious' crash involving schoolgirls

A serious crash involving a car and a two schoolgirls has closed a road in South Devon.

The A3122 Townstal Road in Dartmouth has been closed between Milton Lane and the A379 by police after the collision shortly before 3.45pm today.

Kingsbridge posted a message on Facebook which said: “Emergency services are currently on scene at an RTC in Dartmouth by the petrol station where two schoolgirls have been hit by a car.

“The air ambulance is en-route so the road has been closed to all traffic.”

Please seek an alternative route and bear with us during this incident. We will open the road as soon as possible.

There are reports of slow traffic in both directions between the Milton Lane junction and the A379 Yorke Road junction.

Police are directing traffic.
