The new global agenda that puts people and the planet at the heart of development could also mean a “big push” for industrialization in Africa, a senior UN official has said.

Li Yong, head of the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), will oversee a meeting this weekend to rally support for inclusive and sustainable industrialization and innovation on the continent.

Assumpta Massoi asked Mr Li how the goals could be achieved in Africa.
