This issue was discussed by African government Ministers responsible for meteorological at a meeting, organized by the UN weather agency and the African Union which took place in Cape Verde.
The ministers shared ideas on how to accelerate regional efforts to strengthen resilience to extreme weather hazards and adapt to climate change.
