The legal wrangling between the state and Abdoulie Ceesay, the general manager of Terraga FM radio station, is expected to resume today, 11th November 2015 before Justice Simon Ateh Abi of the High Court in Banjul.

Alagie Abdoulie Ceesay is indicted with seven counts, six counts of sedition and one count of publishing false news, contrary to the laws of The Gambia. The case was heard by Justice Muhammed Dan Azumi Balarabe during the vacation when he sat as the vacation judge.

Two witnesses have so far testified and the defence counsel, Aji Combeh Gaye-Coker is expected to continue her cross-examination of the second prosecution witness, Fatou A. Drammeh.

The prosecution alleged that the accused, Abdoulie Ceesay, on or about the 16th July 2015 in Banjul and diverse places, distributed pictures of the President of the Republic of The Gambia, H.E Sheikh Professor, Dr Alhaji Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh, to one Zainab Koneh and Fatou A. Drammeh through his Africell mobile Sim Card showing a gun pointed at the President of the Republic of The Gambia, with the intention to raise discontent, hatred or disaffection amongst the inhabitants of the Republic of The Gambia and thereby committed an offence.
