HELAO NAFIDI: Three-hundred food and beverage traders and 100 corporate companies and small and medium-sized (SME) have so far booked their spaces for the 2012 Helao Nafidi Business Expo.
The expo will take place from 29 October until 04 November at its usual venue, the Helao Nafidi Business Recreation Park, which is situated along the Ondangwa-Oshikango main road at the northern border town of Helao Nafidi in the Ohangwena Region.
Helao Nafidi Town Local Economic Development And Tourism Officer Rauna Shipunda told Nampa in an interview at the town yesterday that all the participating exhibitors are from within Namibia.
Sports activities and children’s’ entertainment, which were introduced during last year’s expo, will once again form part of the business expo.
WINDHOEK; A delegation comprising members of the mining and education sectors in America yesterday paid a courtesy call on President Hifikepunye Pohamba at State House.
Amongst the 10-member delegation were Honorary Consul of Namibia to the State of Michigan, Kano Smith and Honorary Consul of Namibia to the State of Nevada, Victor Alan Perry.
The delegation is in Namibia to explore opportunities for investment, particularly in the mining sector.
Pohamba expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the delegation for coming to Namibia, as well as to the two consuls for representing Namibia in the United States of America.
Pohamba also commended Namibia’s Ambassador to Canada based in Washington DC, Martin Andjaba, saying that he is working hard.
