WINDHOEK: About 30 children of the liberation struggle who marched from Otjiwarongo to Windhoek are camping outside the Swapo-Party headquarters, demanding employment from Government before they move.
The group’s leader, Kristofina Hofeni told Nampa yesterday that they will not move from the area until Government responds to their demand for jobs.
The new group of struggle kids arrived in the capital on Saturday, not long after a bigger group that started marching from Outapi in the Omusati Region to Windhoek on 23 January this year.
The group of about 180 youths reached Windhoek at about 11h00 on Friday, and immediately went to the Swapo-Party headquarters to see Swapo Secretary-General (SG) Nangolo Mbumba.
On Sunday, Namibia Exile Kids Association (NEKA) Secretary-General Rauna Amutati addressed the struggle kids and told them to submit a list of their names.
