HubSpot Launches Service Hub to Transform the Way Businesses Delight their Customers

Growth was once solely the domain of sales and marketing – no longer. HubSpot’s new customer service product is designed to turn every customer interaction into a growth opportunity.

CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts, May 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — HubSpot, a leading CRM, marketing, sales and customer service platform, announced today the general availability of Service Hub, the latest product line in the company’s growth platform. Announced at INBOUND 2017, Service Hub is an all-in-one customer service system that changes the way growing businesses approach and deliver customer support. Powered by HubSpot’s free CRM, Service Hub provides companies with a complete record of a customer’s journey, meaning faster resolution times and happier customers, turning these positive interactions into marketing gold – positive word-of-mouth.

“Over the past decade, the acquisition funnel has been considered the most effective model for growth. But as people have become more skeptical of sales and marketing, the funnel has become less effective,” said JD Sherman, president and COO of HubSpot. “Your biggest untapped growth opportunity today is in fact your existing customers. With Service Hub, we’re giving businesses the tools they need to tap into that opportunity. Support products on the market today treat customers as a cost center, focusing on cost reduction. We’re building a system for companies that view service as a growth opportunity.”

When combined with Marketing Hub and Sales Hub, Service Hub integrates customer data with lead and deal data in a way that similar products on the market don’t. This gives marketing, service, and sales teams access to a complete record of a customer’s interactions with the company, allowing them to collaborate together to resolve customer issues better and faster.

The individual products that make up Service Hub are designed with the impatient, convenience-focused customer in mind. Customers can get fast help via their preferred channel, and service teams are armed with the technology needed to efficiently manage it all:

  1. Conversations – A universal inbox that unites messages across chat, email, and other channels to help team collaborate and enable customers to engage with companies however they want.
  2. Tickets – A CRM object to track, record, and organize customer needs.
  3. Automation – Platform-level automation that uses workflows to route Tickets and create a help desk.
  4. Knowledge Base – A tool that helps you create simple well-structured help articles from templates that automatically index on Google search and a reporting dashboard.
  5. Customer Feedback – A tool featuring guided survey creation, feedback collection, and audience insights analytics.
  6. Reporting – A new service dashboard featuring reports on how your team is handling tickets, how customers are sharing feedback, and the efficacy of your Knowledge Base.

“Some clients say that they don’t have the budget for more customer service, but that mindset needs to change. When you add value for customers, you simultaneously grow your own business,” said Steven Loepfe, founder and managing partner of Storylead, a beta user of Service Hub and HubSpot Gold Tier Partner. “As an agency, the majority of our revenue comes from returning customers and their referrals. Service Hub is exactly what we’ve been looking for. Our clients already use HubSpot, so this will be a natural step for them. It’s a huge opportunity, for us and for them.”

Home Affairs on immigration and labour raids in Cape Town

In response to complaints lodged, the Departments of Home Affairs and Labour, in conjunction with the SA police, conducted raids on businesses employing illegal foreign nationals, in Cape Town on Wednesday, 9 May 2018.

The raids were conducted in China City in Milnerton and Canal Walk in Century City. In total, 25 illegal foreign nationals were arrested for contravening the Immigration Act. The number of those arrested is expected to increase as investigations are continuing. A manager at one of the restaurants that were visited will be charged for contravention of the Immigration Act, which prohibits employment of illegal foreign nationals in South Africa.

Random inspections at places of employment are conducted to ensure employers of foreign nationals comply with immigration laws. Employing foreigners who are not in possession of enabling documents is an offence. The department, working in partnership with other law enforcement agencies, will continue to enforce immigration legislation with no respite.

Those who persist in flouting immigration and labour laws of the country will face the full might of the law. This is in support of the national drive towards safer communities wherein citizens and documented foreign nationals are and feel safe.

MEC Bongiwe Mbinqo-Gigaba restores dignity to young girls

Empowering young women and uplifting their dignity through the Girls on the go campaign

The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture and Clicks Helping Hands Trust joined hands to embark on a campaign to ensure that the dignity of young girls in the Northern Cape remains in tack and that it is not diminished or degraded because of menstruation.

The campaign of distributing reusable sanitary towel panties kicked off in Hopetown at the Steynville High School and will be rolled out to rural schools in the Province. The reusable sanitary towel has a life span of approximately 3 to 5 years. It is environmentally-friendly, affordable sanitary option at Clicks stores.

Developed, designed and manufactured by Sue Barnes, founder of Project Dignity, the Subz pads are made of five layers of specialised fabrics which earned the product a SABS absorbency approval. Barnes developed the product after learning about the dire situation in African schools whereby young women are forced to miss vital classroom time because of a lack of adequate sanitary wear.

Taking into consideration the geographical landscape of the Northern Cape , and the high level of poverty in our rural areas , the Department of Sport , Arts and Culture and Clicks partnered to implement the Girls on the Go campaign at identified schools in the rural towns of the Northern Cape. The distribution of reusable sanitary towels will not only ensure that girls are now able to attend school during their monthly cycles but also has financial benefit to impoverished families , as there be no need to purchase sanitary towels for the girl child in their household.

At the launch of the campaign the learners from Steynville High School in Hopetown , Strydenburg High School in Strydenburg and Griquatown Combined and Karrikama High School from Griekwastad the MEC for Sport , Arts and Culture Ms Bongiwe Mbinqo-Gigaba said According to research, lack of access to sanitary towels often results in young women from poorer backgrounds being absent from school or experiencing the loss of human dignity because of having no choice but to use old newspapers or cloths. Girls who cannot afford pads or tampons miss approximately 5 days of school a month, which amounts to 60 missed school days a year. There are many aspects that link girls’ attendance to their menstrual cycles. The lack of affordable sanitary products for girls and young women keeps them at a disadvantage in terms of education when they are young and prevents their mobility and productivity as young women. Without sanitary products, girls are excluded from their right to an education as stipulated by the Constitution of South Africa.

She went on to say that This Sanitary Towel Campaign is not just about supplying sanitary towels to young women, it is about making significant life-changing differences. The sanitary towels do not only enable girls to attend class regularly, the effect is greater in the sense that this improves on the government’s goal of making access to education simpler and eventually ensuring better economic exposure for young women.

Ms Donna Davids , the CSI Manager from Clicks said that Girls from disadvantaged backgrounds miss up to a week of school during their period as they are not able to afford basic sanitary wear. This has a profound negative impact on their education and for this reason, The Clicks Helping Hand Trust is committed to empower and keep girls in school by distributing reusable sanitary hygiene packs to schools across South Africa in the hope of reducing absenteeism. While we will continue with our activations which aim to provide all young South African women with reusable sanitary pads, we are thrilled that the public is also able to purchase these user-friendly products, all while supporting the Girls on the Go campaign.

The saying goes it takes a village to raise a child, hence we appeal to the public support this campaign by visiting their nearest Clicks branch and make a donation of R 29.95 at any of our till points.

The Clicks Helping Hand Trust is a registered nonprofit organization which offers free clinic services through the network of Clicks clinics to disadvantaged South Africans who do not have medical aid and lack access to basic primary healthcare services. The Trust is also active in local communities through the Girls on the Go campaign, and provides support to some of the 2.5 million girls in the country who miss school every month due to a lack of basic sanitary wear.

The department calls upon the rest of the private sector to join the campaign and partner with the Department in making a difference. Collectively, this is our responsibility as Government and the private sector, to join hands and fulfill in the need of all our learners, especially the girl child.

North West Health on acts of intimidation and disruption of health services in hospitals

NW Health disturbed by acts of intimidation and disruption of health services in hospitals

The North West Department of Health is disturbed by acts of intimidation and disruptions that happened at two hospitals in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District. The two hospitals affected at this stage are Klerksdorp Tshepong Hospital Complex and Potchefstroom Hospital. In the past two weeks, the Department has witnessed unprecedented protests at the two health facilities. It is particularly at Klerksdorp Tshepong Hospital Complex where there unfortunate incidents of protesters forcefully removing nurses and doctors from the wards and preventing others including community members from accessing the facility.

On the 8th and 9th May the hospital witnessed escalated acts of intimidation and acts of forced removal of patients and health professionals from the hospital. This occurred after a few protesters were arrested after the hospital opened a case of intimidation with the local police station.

Though there were protests at Potchesftroom hospital, health services continued to be rendered with minimal interruptions. Patients are still being attended and admissions of new patients continues. This however continues under a very unpleasant environment where protests in the gates of the hospital are prevalent.

Klerksdorp Tshepong Hospital Complex is a referral hospital in the Province. Patients from regional hospitals are referred to Klerksdorp to receive tertiary health services. As a result of the ongoing protests, the hospital was forced to release patients back to regional hospitals for management at that level until the situation is normalised. Stable patients have been assessed by doctors and released. Only critical patients remains.

The hospitals is operating with skeletal staff as nurses and doctors fear coming to the hospital due to intimidation.

Negotiations to end the protests actions and return employees to work continues. Since the Department was put under Section 100 b (1), there is optimism of speedy resolution. The Health Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi has already had a number of meetings with Nehawu in attempt to find a solution to the impulse. The Administrator will have a meeting with Provincial Office employees on Friday, 11 May as part of efforts to end the protest actions.

The Department continues to urge the protesters to respect the rights of other citizens. While the protests enjoy the right to strike and demonstrate through protests action, patients should also not be denied the right to access health care.
