PRESIDENT Jacob Zuma is set to address at the fourth National Congress of the Young Communist League of South Africa (YCLSA) in Cape Town later on Friday.
The event is scheduled for the University of the Western Cape, Bellville Campus.
Zuma is among a host of top tripartite alliance officials to speak at the conference . Congress of SA Trades Union (COSATU) President S’dumo Dlamini’s presentation will precede Zuma’s address first.
The YCLSA conference follows the chaotic ANC Youth League congress recently held in Soweto.
Zuma was the key dignitary alongside the South African Communist Party secretary general, Blade Dzimande.
According to the YCLSA national spokesperson, Khaya Xaba, a press conference would follow with the view to highlight the conference issues and outcomes before the curtains come down the conference on Saturday.
A new leadership of the YCLSA is expected to be announced at the end of the conference. Buti Manamela is the current YCLSA secretary general.
