ABUJA: WARRI Wolves, Nigeria’s representative in this year Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Confederations, have left for Burkina Faso for their first leg clash preliminary clash against this weekend.
Speaking on the match, the team’s coach, Paul Aigbogun, expressed confidence the players would rise to the occasion. He called on Nigerians to pray for the team, which consists of 18 players comprising of retained players from last season and some new signings.
Wolves will however miss the services of striker, Oghenekaro Etebo, and midfielder, Ichull Lordson, who are currently in camp with the Nigeria Under-23 team. The national side is preparing for the all Africa Games qualifiers against Gabon later this month.
