On the 06 June 2015 at about 22:30 a family in Ficksburg, Erweer street was attacked by two unknown African males, who shot their son, and wounded him in the leg, which led to him being admitted at Phuthuluha hospital.
It is alleged that the suspects broke down the lock of the front sliding door to gain entrance into the house. Apparently they walked to the bedroom of their son and demanded money from him. When he told them that he did not have any, they shot him and fled away from the scene.
An hour later a petrol station near the Ficksburg border post was also robbed by two unknown African males who covered their faces with black stockings. It is reported that one of the suspects was armed with a 9mm pistol, and he pointed the cashier with it to demand money from her. The suspects fled on foot with undisclosed amount of cash. It is further reported that they fled from the scene and disappeared at a place called Number One a part of Meqheleng residential area.
According to the description given, both suspects are short and thin in body structure they were wearing grey track suit tops with caps covering their heads.
