Two suspects were arrested in the early morning hours of today, Saturday 20 December 2014, after they were caught transporting an alleged stolen cow using a private ambulance.
The two suspects aged 26 and 27 were arrested at around 02:30 in Sekgakgapeng just outside Mahwelereng after their suspicious movements were being tailed by local Stock Theft Unit members. The two culprits were seen loading a cow inside an ambulance and were cornered a few kilometers from the scene.
The two suspects are in custody and will appear in court on Monday, 22 December 2014. The cow is currently at the Mokopane SPCA.
