HARARE: ZIMBABWE’S Sunday Mail editor, Edmund Kudzayi who was arrested for attempting to subvert a constitutionally-elected Government and undermining president Robert Mugabe’s authority was on Thursday ordered to surrender his Gmail password as one of his bail conditions.
Among other conditions, Kudzayi was instructed to pay a whopping US$5 200 (about R50,000) bail by High Court Judge, Justice Joseph Musakwa.
The email in question is: email@example.com, who the judge said should be surrendered to investigating officer Assistant Commissioner Chrispen Makedenge.
The high also instructed that Kudzayi surrenders title deeds for his father’s house in Hillside as surety and he must report to Harare Central twice daily.
The court also barred Kudzayi from leaving the radius of 40km from Harare Main Post office without the permission of the court.
The court instructed that Kudzayi surrenders his passport to the clerk of court before being warned of interfering with the investigation.
Kudzayi was arrested last month after he was linked to the Facebook character Baba Jukwa. – CAJ News
