MONGOMO: MOUSA Sow’s 93rd minute goal earned Senegal three crucial points when they beat Ghana 2-1 in a West Africa derby of Group C Afcon encounter strongly contested at Estadio de Mongomo on Monday.
The Black Stars, as Ghana are affectionately called in local football circles drew blood first through stand-in captain Andre Ayew. Ayew scored from the penalty spot kick in the 14th minute to send a sizeable Ghanaian supporters into frenzy.

Had it not been for the poor finish upfront, Senegal could have found the second goal through Dame N’Doye in the 67th minute, but he fluffed over the bar with the goalkeeper to beat.
But the final moment that broke hearts for Ghanaians occurred in the 93rd minute when Sow rifled home from close range to silence Ghana snd those that tipping the Black Stars to win the Group C opening match.
