Two armed robbery suspects are expected to appear in the Barkly West Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 4th February 2015 on a charge of armed robbery.
It is alleged that on Monday, 2 February 2015, at about 10:30 the men aged 20 and 26 years, entered a tuck shop owned by a foreign national and pointed a firearm at the owner. They helped themselves to an undisclosed amount of money, airtime vouchers and two cell phones. Immediately after the incident, police were alerted and descriptions of the suspects were given to them. Police found the suspects hiding in a bush. All the stolen property were recovered. It was also established that the weapon used in the robbery was a gas pistol.
