Today, 16 April 2015, the Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General (A) Mark Magadlela passes condolences to the MEC for the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Honourable Vusi Shongwe and family.
Yesterday, the MEC lost his eight-year-old girl, Sethu Thandiswa Shongwe after she was fatally hit by a car. According to preliminary reports, Sethu was crossing Pet Street near her home in Ermelo at around 16:30, when she met her untimely death.
“As the police in the province, we would like to pass our heartfelt condolences to the MEC and his family for the untimely death of their daughter, our thoughts and prayers are with you. May the Almighty God strengthen, support and comfort you all as He (God) promised in Mathew 5:4 that Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted”, said the Provincial Commissioner.
