ABUJA: NIGERIA’S newly appointed Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Suleiman Abba, has reiterated that the force would take all lawful measures to ensure the safety and security of Nigerians at all times.
Addressing me at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, said the police’s Inspector-General was working to ensure safety of all the more than 170 million Nigerians.
Ojukwu said Abba pledged the determination and readiness of the Nigeria Police Force to tackle all issues of security pertaining to the 2015 elections. He added that the IGP further assured the traveling public of their safety and security as they commuted Nigerian roads.
He said the Inspector-General of Police also stated the Police and other security agencies have been deployed strategically nationwide to ensure law-abiding Nigerians go about their lawful businesses without fear and molestation.
