LAGOS: THE National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu, has expressed appreciation to party supports in Rivers State for the positive response accorded the campaign team of President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday.
Jonathan held a rally in Port Harcourt ahead of next month’s election. The PDP chairman, through a statement by his Press Secretary, Tony Amadi, also praised gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State, Nyesom Wike for the successful event. Mu’azu wished him well for the polls.
“Let me assure our candidate Nyesom Wike that he has not only proved that he is solid on the ground but has shown that the opposition has no chance of winning the state at any level in the February 14 and 28 elections.
“Your performance has clearly shown that you are not only the candidate to beat you are the next governor of Rivers State after the post was stolen from us in the dead of night,” he said.
“It will be wrong if I don’t inform you that I was overwhelmed with your performance at the Port Harcourt Rally of the Presidential Campaign. The President himself was also happy and you can see that yourself when he exclaimed that there was “No Shaking! No Shaking!” when he began to make his remarks at the paced stadium.” The Port Harcourt rally was a clear indication that PDP will dominate the entire South South despite the opposition’s threat “to win at all cost.” “There is little doubt that the South South is the party stronghold.”
