LAGOS: A NIGERIAN nonprofit organization urged Nigerians to make the most of the upcoming Valentine’s to embrace love and selflessness.
The Ngozi Juliet Olejeme Foundation called on locals to use the occasion on Saturday to take the message of love and concern to the vulnerable members of the community through several forms of outreach.
“The spirit of love should be brought to Nigerians this season, particularly the less privileged.
“This gesture will go a long way in boosting the morale of such people who are in need of attention and encouragement all the time,” Coordinator of the foundation, Chukwuemeka Clement, said during an interaction with media in Abuja.
He said the passion of the founder, Dr Ngozi Juliet Olejeme, to encourage and boost the morale of these people in need of special attention underscored the call.
The Ngozi Juliet Olejeme Foundation’s mission is to foster philanthropy through advocacy, education, empowerment and upliftment of orphans, young females, women, widows and the elderly.
The organization’s goal is to provide social, emotional and financial support to vulnerable people in Nigeria and abroad.
“I therefore urged Nigerians to join hands with the foundation in a bid to putting smiles on the less privileged in the society and so spread the message of love this valentine season,” Clement said.
