ABUJA: THE Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the planned National Re-orientation campaign would transform the Nigeria ’s socio-political economic landscape. Mohammed revealed this on Thursday following a meeting with the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Mohammed Nasir El-Rufai, who paid him a courtesy call in his office at Abuja. The Minister elaborated on the reorientation campaign.
“We have really come to do things differently. My Ministry is the most strategic to drive present administration’s change mantra, we as government, will only be the driver while Nigerians will take ownership of this change,” said Mohammed. He said his ministry’s vision would leverage on unique power of information and culture that would influence Nigerians to “decide and accept the change.”
Meanwhile, earlier, Malam El-Rufai said that the task before President Mohammed Buhari and all the newly appointed Ministers were challenging. “There are a lot of things to be fixed in the country,” said El-Rufai.
