This afternoon, I had an introductory meeting with Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa, in his capacity as Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly.
In this cordial meeting, we spoke about a number of issues, including our parties working together where we agreed, and that the voices on the opposition benches are heard, when we disagree.
As the Fifth Parliament engages in policy formulation, and the implementation of the National Development Plan, it is important that the Democratic Alliance, as the Official Opposition, has a good but critical working relationship with the Executive and the Majority Party.
The meeting was the first of more in the future, as we continue to work for the betterment of South Africa.
Mmusi Maimane, Parliamentary Leader of the Democratic Alliance
