The South African Men’s U20 National Team (Amajita) head coach, Shakes Mashaba, has named his starting eleven for the friendly international match against Senegal, making two changes to the team that lost 1-0 to Mali.
Amajita and Senegal meet this evening (Wednesday, 30 July) at the Stade Caroline Faye in Mbour, outside the capital Dakar.
Kickoff is at 17h00 local time in Senegal (19h00 SA time).
Dumisani Msibi remains in goals while Modjeka Madisha moves from the center back to right back – Denwin Farmer, who will be making his first start on the tour, takes his place. Maphosa Modiba and Ayabulela Magqwakwa retain their positions in defence.
Bongani Mathebula, who played at right back against Burkina Faso and Mali, will be playing in midfield against Senegal in Pule Maraisane who starts on the bench.
Mathebula will play alongside Tlotlo Leepile, Ryan Christian and Fagrie Lakay. Upfront Mashaba will hoping Thembinkosi Mbamba and Tshepo Liphoko (who comes in for Dikgang Ngcobo) will deliver goals.
Jody February and Sphelele Luthuli have again not been considered because of injury.
This is South Africa’s third match on the tour of West Africa as they prepare for the 2015 African Youth Championship qualifier against Cameroon on Saturday, 16 August in Yaounde.
Amajita have now drawn one and lost one.
