ABUJA: THE Plateau State gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Gyang Nyam Pwajok, has condoled with the bereaved family of former Chairman of Jos North Local Government Area and a former Director General of the National Sports Institute (NSI), Christopher Sarki Jang.
He paid his respects at the deceased’s home in Dutse Uku, Jos North Local Government Area. He eulogized the late Jang as patriotic, humorous, dear to all and one of the best politicians to emerge from Jos North.
Pwajok affirmed that Jang death was a big loss to his family, constituents and the entire nation.
“Jang will be remembered as an outstanding leader who is sincere, straightforward, an outstanding personality who had several accomplishments to his credit as a veteran politician with impeccable credentials,” hee said.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Professor Danladi Atu, said that Jang’s death was “a deep and painful one.”
Atu said Pwajok was more than just a political associate to the deceased but a family member to the Jang’s, adding that both the Senator and the late Jang had laboured to bring about the transformation that the state was witnessing.
He noted that before Jang demised, he prayed and prophesied the success of Pwajok in the forthcoming election.
“I pray that the prophecy becomes a reality,” he said.
Jang died earlier this week after a protracted illness. His age could not be ascertained.
