“We will also discuss a revised HIV and AIDS, TB, Maternal and Child Mortality Plan which was presented and endorsed by the Provincial Executive Council last week.”
“We will receive a report on the strategies of the provincial government that have assisted in turning around the situation in Umgungundlovu District. Strategies aimed at fighting HIV and Aids in Umgungundlovu have yielded positive results which are encouraging.”
“As government we will continue to use the council to sustain the united front against HIV and Aids. We will receive reports from municipalities on the rollout of ward aids committees, district and local aids councils. We want to turn around the situation at local level because that is where HV and Aids is making a devastating impact.”
