The Inkatha Freedom Party, in accordance with the user-pay principle, supports the reduction in E-toll tariffs as announced by Deputy President, Hon. Cyril Ramaphosa earlier today.
IFP’s Chief Whip in Parliament, The Hon. Narend Singh, MP, said “We are not opposed in principle to the user-pay system our roads require maintenance and upkeep and funding for this is not as is commonly believed, available from fuel levies. We welcome the reduction in E-toll costs. We are happy that public transport remains exempt from paying E-tolls.”
