Five Suspects Positively Identified By Witnesses During an Identification Parade Held At Muldersdrift Saps [press release]

On Saturday, 13 December 2014, Muldersdrift Detectives arrested one suspect in possession of stolen properties and one unlicensed firearm that were linked to a house robbery and house breaking in the Muldersdrift area.

The arrested suspect gave Muldersdrift Detectives information about the whereabouts of other suspects. On Sunday morning, 14 December 2014, Muldersdrift SAPS together with Tactical Response Team went in search for the other suspects at Zandspruit in Honeydew which led to the arrest of four suspects. Two unlicensed firearms and stolen property have been recovered. One suspect was arrested in the Diepsloot area.

On Saturday, 20 December 2014 at about 09:00, Muldersdrift SAPS held an identification parade whereby twenty witnesses positively identified five suspects.

The suspects terrorised the community of Muldersdrift since 2012 to date. The suspects were linked to the crimes through their fingerprints. The suspects committed crimes such as rape, murder, attempted murder and house robbery. The suspects are set to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 22 December 2014.
