Deputy Minister Andries Nel will visit a Community Work Programme (CWP) site in Erasmus, North of Pretoria, Tshwane Metropolitan (closer to Hebron). The visit is in line with Youth Month celebration in commemoration of June 16, whereby he will view projects such as Early Childhood Centre; The newly erected bridge; Youth Development Centre; Arts and sewing projects. Thereafter he will address 1500 CWP participants who are benefiting from the Programme as well as members of the community.

The Community Work Programme is a Government initiative designed to provide an employment safety net to eligible participants by offering them a minimum number of regular days of work each month. The programme targets the unemployed Youth, Women and People with Disabilities.
