The Congress of South African Trade Unions in the NW congratulates the newly elected leadership of the SA Communist Party which was elected over the weekend during their 7th provincial congress of the Moses Kotana province.
The SACP delegates of Moses Kotana province elected the following six officials and fifteen additional PEC members led by the provincial secretary, Cde Madoda Sambatha.
As COSATU in the NW we will continue to work with the new leadership of the SACP towards making sure we aance the agenda of the workers and the poor working class in the NW.
We will continue to support all the programs of the SACP and to defend it against anyone who wants to use the SACP as his or her organization. We will defend the elected leadership to make sure that they are not used against the poor working class, in particular the workers. The SACP will remain the vanguard of the workers and society.
We are going to make sure that we develop a joint program in all our campaigns, including the campaign of going back the mining area to reclaim our integrity and make sure that all those workers who were forced at the barrel of a gun to join AMCU are back in our revolutionary union, the NUM.
We thank all SACP members in the Moses Kotane province for playing its central role to unite the SACP and for refusing to be told who must lead them in their province.
Once more, congratulations to all democratically elected SACP leaders!
