Cosatu in Gauteng wishes to confirm that it will be celebrating 2014 May-Day Rally in Daveyton at the Sinaba Stadium on the 1st May 2014. We also wish to confirm that it is system goes as all the necessary arrangement have been concluded and confirmed in time and in terms of the project plan.
We further confirm that all of our speakers have confirmed their availability for the celebration of this important day in the calendar of our struggle as the working class in Gauteng. The members of the alliance across the regions of Gauteng will be joining millions of workers across the country, continent and the world at large to celebrate this most important and critical day to end poverty, unemployment and inequality in the world.
The struggle for a 40 hour a week still remain relevant today as it was years ago. The struggle for the emancipation of women from the yoke of triple oppression still remains as relevant today as it was before. The struggle for eradication of child labour still remains part of the global struggle today as it had been before.
Workers of the World will be united on the 1 May 2014 for the emancipation and eradication of oppression by one man against another man. The class struggle for Socialism remains as relevant today as it was long ago.
The Gauteng Rally will be addressed by the following leaders of the revolutionary alliance which are tried and tested in the terrain of struggle.
