The Congress of South African Trade Unions is calling all ex-workers of Aurora to claim their UIF with the Department of Labour starting from 15th December 2014.
On 15TH December 2014, jointly with Gift of the Givers, we will be delivery food parcels to those poor exploited workers just for them to get something to eat with their families during the festive season when the exploiters will be overseas celebrating the exploitation of those workers.
We call on all ex-workers to bring their IDs on the same date at shaft number 5 to register their claim with DOL officials from 9h00 to 16h30. We want thank the DOL for responding to our call to speed up the processes of the UIF for those workers to submit claims this is one victory for those workers after the battle over five years to demand their UIF which was deducted from their salaries by those criminals of exploiters.
We are still calling on anyone who will be able to help do so by calling COSATU NW office or NUM Matlosana office.
All workers are reminded that on 15th December 2014 at shaft number 5 from 9am they must all be there to claim their UIF and receive the food parcel all workers must bring their ID documents and all relevant papers that will assist DOL officials to help them to processes their claims.
