The Congress of South African Trade Unions with the community of Ganyesa will be marching to the Ganyesa magistrate court on 7th July 2014 against the white racist shop owner who assaulted and shocked a young boy of 9 years in May 2014.
The man will be appearing in court for the first time after he was granted bail of R1000.
The man did what he allegedly did to this young boy after accusing him of stealing chips on 28th May 2014 and he was not arrested until COSATU and the community demanded an explanation from the police, and he was seen at the police station during the second week of June 2014 and on the same day he was granted bail.
We will be demanding the withdrawal of the bail and that he must account for allegations of assaulting other children. We will also demand the MEC of Safety to investigate the relationship of some police officers and that of shop owner.
The march to the court will start at 8h30am. We will call on the media to be there to expose this racist and the relationship of some of those who rich and that of the police.
