Many South Africans living with HIV/Aids are at a far higher risk of developing TB, this is mainly because of their weakened immune system, to some worsened by their poor living conditions.
Therefore, in line with the department's mandate to create sustainable and habitable settlements, Deputy Minister of Human Settlements, Zou Kota-Fredericks will visit and engage the community of Joe Slovo Park and surrounding areas to raise awareness about HIV/Aids and reiterate government call for more people to know their status.
Services offered on the day will include, TB Screening, HIV Counselling and Testing, Eyesight testing, Glucose, Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure testing and other services.
