Fairy Meadow are the top performing Illawarra club side in the South Pacific Fours with two sides in Friday’s post-sectional round chasing a semi-final spot.

Fairy Meadow BC take charge of the carnival from Friday and are the only Zone 16 club with two sides to make it through the 20 sectional rounds on Tuesday.

Stephen McPherson will skip his rink against Engadine’s Dave Ferguson as eight teams play in the first knockout round, with the other 12 sectional winners straight through to round two.

Fairy Meadow’s Trevor Tougher had the rare distinction of having a negative differential (2wins -4) in winning his section.

Tougher takes on Towradgi’s Les Reese in Friday’s round two, while defending Fours champion John Green faces Wiseman Park’s Barry Dileva.

Joining Illawarra clubs Fairy Meadow, Towradgi and Wiseman Park in the knockout rounds are Simon Garrety’s Figgy Bowlo rink and Mal Pearson’s Albion Park side.
