ANGOLA PARTICIPATING IN AFRICAN OIL PRODUCERS MEETING

Angolan Oil Minister Jose Maria Botelho de Vasconcelos is attending a session of the Inter-ministerial Ad-hoc Committee on Reforms of the African Petroleum Producers’ Association (APPA) taking place in Abidjan in CAte d’Ivoire.

According to a statement received here Tuesday from the Angolan Embassy in Abidjan, the APPA member countries in the ad-hoc committee analysed an alternative report on the evaluation of the APPA executive organs, the strategy for the conclusion of reforms, their subsequent stages and other matters.

Besides Botelho de Vasconcelos, the meeting is also being attended by the oil ministers of Niger, the Republic of Congo and the host country. The oil ministers of Libya, Chad and Equatorial Guinea were not present at Tuesday’s meeting.
