South Africa's ruling African National Congress (ANC) party has announced that a meeting here Monday between its National Working Committee and a group of 101 unhappy veterans will continue on Friday.

The national working committee met with the 101 veterans in Pretoria to discuss concerns around the state of the ANC with the aim of restoring unity and discipline in the party and the meeting will continue on Friday, the part said.

The meeting comes amid growing calls that President Jacob Zuma step down.
