UAE outgoing Ambassador meets Thai Prime Minister

BANGKOK: Mohammed Ali Omran Al Shamsi, the UAE’s outgoing Ambassador to Thailand, has met with General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime minister of Thailand to mark the end of his tenure in that country.

The ambassador expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Thai prime minister and the government for all the cooperation given during his stay as well as fruitful cooperation in promoting bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

On the occasion, Al Shamsi conveyed greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the UAE to the Thailand’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej, wishing him good health and more welfare and prosperity to the people of Thailand.

Thai Prime Minister reciprocated good wishes of Thai government to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa and the UAE, stressing his country’s desire to enhance bilateral ties with the UAE.

General Prayut Chan-o-cha also extended thanks to Al Shamsi for his cooperation during his tenure in the country, wishing him good luck and success in his future assignment.
